About

I am just a weak, ordinary person, serving a Strong, Extraordinary God.

I am working with Destinations International (DNI) and plan, Lord Willing, to serve with them in Choix, Mexico for two years. I am currently in New York City for a period of eight weeks, spending the first six weeks in Queens, NY in mission school at the Missions Training Center, and then two weeks in Brooklyn, NY for two weeks of language study.

Lord willing, on July 29th I will be leaving for Mexico to begin working with the Followers of Jesus Church plant. A lot of people ask me exactly what I’m going to be doing in Mexico, and honestly, I don’t really know how to respond to that question. I guess the best way I can answer is that I will simply be serving the Father and doing anything I can to help the church and the community there in Choix, Mexico. Hopefully this blog will help answer those questions as I post updates from Mexico.

However, the purpose of this blog is not only to update what is going on in Mexico, but also to share my heart, and to hopefully challenge and encourage anyone who may read the post. To Challenge them to not just live the ordinary, American lifestyle, but to wholeheartedly step up and serve Jesus Christ. And no, that does not mean that you have to pack your bags and move somewhere else, but just serve the Lord wherever you are with a glad heart, and with ears that are always listening for the Spirit’s direction in your everyday life.
So no, I am not claiming to have it all together. Because trust me, I dont. My hope is that while God challenges me in different areas in my life, i can somehow put that into words and hopefully challenge others in return. I really like the way that Greg Livingstone puts it:
“There are only two kinds of people in this world: The weak ones who make themselves available to God and the weak ones who don’t.”          – Greg Livingstone
